Apostolic Bishop Michael O. Brokenborough was born and reared in Ardmore, Pennsylvania and has devoted 32 years of his life as shepherd of HFDWC in his hometown. This ministry, which is the first Five-fold Ministry in Ardmore, grew out of a Bible study that was held in several homes in Ardmore. In addition to Bible studies, this enthusiastic, faithful group of believers held all night prayer meetings and engaged in door to door evangelism.
God's vision for this local fellowship, which Bishop Michael is one of ministering the glorious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all; including the disenfranchised; such as substance abusers, those who are incarcerated and the homeless.
Because of his faithfulness to this assignment, God has used him mightily to share the Word without compromise, as he oversees and covers churches and ministries in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Trinidad, Liberia, Uganda and Nigeria. He also provides covering for Freedom Worship Center in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. This fellowship, under the leadership of Apostle Devin Park, has ministries in over 23 nations.
On Saturday December 18, 2010 Bishop Michael was publicly consecrated, ordained and affirmed to the Vocation and Office of Apostolic Bishop. The Chief Consecrator and Officiant was Dr. Decker Tapscott of Warrenton, Virginia
Bishop Michael was educated in the Lower Merion School District and has a Bachelor's degree from Cheney University. He attended Philadelphia College of The Bible as well as Manna Bible Institute and has a Masters Degree in Religious Arts from Westminster Theological Seminary. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctorate Degree.
In addition to serving on the board of the Fellowship of Prophetic Churches and Ministries, under the leadership of Dr. Decker Tapscott of Warrenton,Virginia, Bishop Michael serves as Vice-president of the Board of Directors that oversees the Ardmore House, which is a residential facility for the elderly.
His wife, Pastor Denise, partners with him, in ministry. They have been married for 38 years and have 4 adult children: Tiffany, Aaron, Rachel and Jessica, as well as 5 grandchildren: Quashawn, Amaya, Ira, Rylee, and Grayson.
